Alpine Express departure 24-2-2023

It's almost here! On Friday, 24-2-2023, the Alpen Express will depart for Austria. Due to track work, the Alpen Express will depart from the Netherlands in reverse carriage order. Carriage 14 with final destination Bischofshofen is at the front of the train, Carriage 1 with final destination Bludenz is at the rear of the train.

Both at the border crossing Venlo (regular route), and at the border crossing Emmerich (alternative route), there are railroad works in the evening on 24-2-2023, so the schedule of the Alpen Express was a huge puzzle. In the Netherlands, the train just runs the regular route to Venlo. In Germany, there is a change of direction to pick up the regular route again with a small detour from Cologne. Also in the south of Germany there are works on the regular route, necessitating the use of another locomotive, among other things.

According to the current schedule, we nevertheless arrived in Kufstein at 08:14.

The composition at departure is as follows: Locomotive - Carriage 14, 13, 12, 11, 10, 9, 8, 7 (BAR), 6, 5, 4, 3, 2, 1.
